We are hiring four Camper Program Coordinator - Counselors

Interns receive extensive training from professionals with the opportunity for immediate practice. This unique opportunity is perfect for anyone interested in pursuing a career in education, social work, psychology, child development, ministry or in the nonprofit sector. Interns will receive a signed certificate and a detailed packet of the training at the end of the internship identifying the competencies gained over the course of the summer.

Interns will experience

1. Hands-on servant leadership training and practice2. Group management

3. Ethical decision making

4. Organizational and teamwork training

5. Health and safety training and certification

6. Cultural competence education

7. Training in positive behavior interventions

8. Collaboration with nonprofit organizations, service providers, and schools in the metro Chicago and Milwaukee areas

9. Campers from diverse backgrounds, most of whom are impacted by poverty

10. On-the-job practice in

• Creating safe and welcoming spaces: physically, emotionally, and spiritually

• Educational design and implementation

• Youth ministry planning and implementation

• Event planning

• Working with children and teens

• Working with individuals with Developmental Disabilities

• Outdoor/environmental education
