Day in the Life

The camper day starts off with a hearty breakfast and raising of the flag, followed by a devotional in the Bowman Chapel. The remainder of the day is filled with hiking, swimming, kayak, crafts, fishing and talent shows. Campers enjoy a mid-afternoon snack and treats from the candy store after dinner. Some nights are spent watching movie on the lakefront under the stars!

Norman B. Barr Camp, Inc. is a largely volunteer based, non-profit organization that relies on donations and gifts from companies and individuals to continue its mission. Each year, the camp hosts scores of camper children who are economically disadvantaged or have special needs; and each year the cost of hosting these children increases.

Each camper who attends Norman B. Barr Camp costs the camp approximately $280 per week or about $40 per day. Other needs for NBBC include ongoing Building and Grounds maintainance and general upkeep.

Norman B. Barr Camp's volunteers, who devote their time and effort to running and supporting this important program, make sure that every dollar that is donated goes directly and entirely to the Children's Program and to the operation of the camp.

There are several ways you can contribute to NBBC and all gifts are fully tax deductible.
